Enamelled cast iron stove body
Enamel protects the cast iron and makes it easy to wipe clean, while the metal underneath stores a lot of heat. That means a more even room temperature and fewer trips to the woodpile through the evening.
Front and side loading
The Isetta has two doors. Use the front to enjoy the fire and light it, and the side door to slide in longer logs without disturbing the flames or letting smoke into the room.
Cast iron hearth with post-combustion
The firebox floor is cast iron, and a post-combustion system burns off gases that would otherwise go up the flue. You get more heat from the same wood and less soot on the glass and in your chimney.
High-temperature ceramic glass
The door glass is ceramic and rated to withstand up to 750°, so it stays safe and clear even with a hot fire going.
Is the La Nordica Isetta right for your home?
As a rough guide, a 7.7kW stove suits a lounge of around 60 to 80 m2 with a normal ceiling height. It measures 59.4 x 66.1 x 70.7 cm and connects to a 150 mm flue. Does the Isetta need a special floor?
It needs a non-combustible hearth that can carry its weight. On most concrete slabs that is simple. On suspended timber floors we check the structure first and may add a spreader plate.
