Description
The Invicta Siam is an upright stove for homes where floor space is tight but the heat demand is not. It is a tall cast iron stove with a vertical shape, so it takes up little room in front of the wall, yet its 12kW output warms a good-sized lounge with ease. It is a sensible pick for anyone who wants a classic material in a modern, upright form.
Invicta Siam Wood Stove Features
Long burns with less fuss
On slow combustion the Siam can run for up to 8 hours without refuelling. A bed of embers stays behind, so relighting in the morning is quick. That means a warm house overnight and less time spent feeding the fire.
Cleaner combustion
Preheated air is fed into the firebox to burn off gases that would otherwise go up the flue as smoke. A rear air intake supports this at high temperature. The result is more heat from each log and a cleaner flue. Invicta quotes an efficiency of 77%.
Glass that stays clear
An air inlet above the window creates a curtain of warm air across the glass. It keeps soot off and lets you enjoy the view of the fire for longer between cleans.
Air you can adjust
Adjustable secondary air lets you tune the stove to your chimney draw. On a windy Cape day you can turn it down, and on a still evening open it up for a brighter fire.
Is the Invicta Siam right for your home?
Our specification lists a heating area of 75 m² for the Siam. That covers a large lounge or a modest open-plan space with normal ceilings. Double-volume rooms, big glass doors and poor insulation will change that, so share your room size with us first. You can also browse our other freestanding fireplaces to compare sizes.

Invicta Siam FAQs
How long will the Invicta Siam burn overnight?
On a full load set to slow combustion it can run for up to 8 hours. Dry, seasoned hardwood gives the longest burn. Wet wood burns cooler, blackens the glass and shortens the run time.
Is the Invicta Siam 12 kW too big for my lounge?
Not if the space is large. It is listed for about 75 m², so it suits bigger lounges and open-plan rooms. For a small room we would usually suggest a lower output so you are not running it too low.
Does the Siam fit an existing chimney?
Often, yes. It has a top outlet for a 150 mm flue, which we can run up an existing chimney with a liner where it is safe, or straight through the ceiling and roof.
