Description
Tall, square and finished in a deep anthracite, the Invicta Ovatio looks more like a piece of sculpture than a stove. It is cast in France by Invicta, a foundry with a long history in cast iron, and it is the most efficient model in their range. For a smaller room where you want real wood heat, low wood use and a stove that stands out, the Ovatio is a strong pick.
Invicta Ovatio Cast Iron Wood Stove Features
83% efficiency
The Ovatio turns more of each log into heat for the room and less into smoke up the flue. Post-combustion burns off the gases a basic stove wastes, and it meets the European Eco Design 2022 rules. It also carries the French Flamme Verte 7-star label for low emissions.
Long, slow burns
Turn the air down and it runs for up to 8 hours in slow combustion mode. Load it before bed and there is still warmth in the room in the early morning.
Clean glass and a slim footprint
A clean glass system sweeps air over the window to keep it clear, so you see the flames rather than soot. At 46.1 x 46.1 cm it takes up little floor, and its 116.2 cm height gives it real presence. The 130 mm flue leaves from the top.
Is the Invicta Ovatio right for your home?
The Ovatio has a nominal output of 5kW, adjustable from 3 to 7kW. Our listing gives a heating area of 30 m², and Invicta suppliers quote up to about 60 m² in a well-insulated room. It suits a bedroom, a study or a small to medium lounge. Compare it with every Invicta fireplace we stock or our full range of freestanding fireplaces.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the Ovatio with a 130 mm flue, a cowl that copes with Cape wind and roof flashing that keeps out winter rain. At 137 kg it needs a sound floor and a proper hearth, which we check before we start. Read about our fireplace installation in Cape Town.
Invicta Ovatio FAQs
Is the Invicta Ovatio 5kW enough for my lounge?
For a lounge up to about 60 m² with a normal ceiling, usually yes. In a bigger open-plan room it would run flat out, so we would suggest a larger model. Send us your room size and we will advise.
Does the Ovatio come with a warranty?
Yes. Invicta offers an extended five-year warranty on the Ovatio once you register the stove. Our team can help you with the registration after installation.
What logs does it take?
The firebox takes standard short logs. Use dry, seasoned wood for the cleanest burn, the clearest glass and the longest slow burn overnight.
