Description
Simple lines, calm look and flexible fitting. The Invicta Kazan Zen is a cast iron, 9kW wood fireplace by nominal output, adjustable from 6kW to 12kW. Its stand-out feature is the choice of a top or rear flue, which makes it easier to install in rooms where a straight vertical flue just will not work.
Invicta Kazan Zen Fireplace Features
A rear flue fireplace when you need it
Many models in the Invicta line use a top outlet only, but this one gives you a choice. Its 150 mm flue can go up through the ceiling or out the back through the wall. That helps with flat roofs, rooms with a floor above, and spots where beams or geysers block a straight run.
Minimalist cast iron stove
The cast iron body has a clean, low-key design that suits modern and Japanese-inspired interiors. Cast iron stores heat well, so the warmth carries on after the flames settle. The stove measures 40 x 66 x 81 cm and weighs 163 kg.
Long, efficient burns
With 76% efficiency, the Kazan Zen gets more heat from less wood than an open fire and burns cleaner too. On slow combustion it can run for up to 8 hours, so the room is still warm when you get up.
Is the Kazan Zen right for your home?
Invicta rates the Kazan Zen for 60 m² to 105 m², which covers most medium to large lounges and smaller open-plan areas. If you are unsure, share your floor size, ceiling height and photos and we will confirm the fit. See all our freestanding fireplaces for other sizes.
Installation in Cape Town
Whether your flue goes up or out the back, our team supplies and installs the Kazan Zen with the right 150 mm flue parts, cowl and weatherproofing for Cape wind and rain. We handle the compliance too. Read more about our fireplace installation in Cape Town or explore the Invicta fireplace range.
Invicta Kazan Zen FAQs
Can the Invicta Kazan Zen use a rear flue?
Yes. Unlike many Invicta models, it can be fitted with a top or rear flue outlet. A rear exit is useful where a vertical flue through the ceiling and roof is not practical.
How long does the Kazan Zen burn on one load?
On slow combustion it can run for up to 8 hours. Dry, seasoned hardwood and correct air settings give the longest, cleanest burn.
Is 9kW too much for my lounge?
It is rated for 60 m² to 105 m². In a smaller room you would simply run it at the lower end of its 6kW to 12kW range.
