Description
Tall, slim and built around a big upright window, the Hydrofire Regina suits anyone who loves to watch the fire. Its tall, slim body carries a large upright window that shows the flames from floor to top, and it does this without eating up the room: the footprint is just 40.4 x 45.4 cm. Behind the looks is a solid working stove with a 9kW to 12kW output, so it gives proper heat on a cold Cape night.
Hydrofire Regina Fireplace Features
Steel body with a vermiculite lining
The Regina is a steel wood fireplace with a vermiculite lined firebox. Vermiculite reflects heat back into the fire, which helps the wood burn hotter and more completely. That means more warmth in the room and less soot on the glass and in the flue.
Two air controls and air wash glass
Primary and secondary air controls let you get the fire going quickly, then turn it down for a slower, steady burn. The air wash system sweeps air down the inside of the glass to keep it cleaner for longer, so you see flames, not a grey window.
Easy to clean
The ash pan sits out of sight behind the door and lifts out, and the cast iron grate is removable, so weekly cleaning takes minutes.
Efficient and light to install
At 80% efficiency, more of every log ends up as heat in your home. The unit weighs 58 kg and stands 79.6 cm tall, with a top flue outlet for a 130 mm flue, which keeps the installation straightforward.
Is the Regina fireplace right for your home?
Our listed heating area for the Regina is 86.5 m2, which covers most medium to large lounges and many open-plan living areas with a normal ceiling. Very high ceilings, big glass doors or poor insulation reduce that, so share your room size and photos and we will confirm. You can compare it with other models in our freestanding fireplace range or the wider Hydrofire fireplace collection.

Hydrofire Regina FAQs
Is the Regina a good choice for an open-plan room?
Yes, in most homes. The output of 9kW to 12kW and the 86.5 m2 heating area suit a lounge that opens onto a dining area. In a space with double volume ceilings we may suggest a bigger unit.
Does the glass stay clean?
The air wash system keeps it clear for longer, provided you burn dry, seasoned wood and give the fire enough air when lighting. A quick wipe with a fireplace glass cleaner handles the rest.
