This anthracite grey fireplace puts out 11 to 18kW and is rated for about 145 m2, one of the larger heating areas in the Hydrofire range. Extra thick steel
The Nero Lux was first made for the English market, so it uses extra thick steel for the body and top plate and a thick 150 mm spigot collar for the flue. A steel wood fireplace heats up quickly, which is useful when you come home to a cold house and want warmth fast.
A firebox that takes real logs
Fire brick lines the inside of the firebox. It protects the steel and helps the fire burn hot. It accepts logs up to 35 centimetres long, so you spend less time cutting wood. A removable cast iron grate and a separate ash pan make cleaning quick.
Big glass, easy control
The large door and window give you a wide view of the flames. Air intake vents let you run a strong fire or slow it down for a longer burn. The flue can leave from the top or rear, which gives our team more options on site.
Is the Nero Lux right for your home?

Where is the Hydrofire Nero Lux made?
It is imported from Bulgaria and carries CE certification. Hydrofire gives it a 2 year limited warranty. Our team explains how the warranty works when you order.
Why is the output given as 11 to 18kW?
Output depends on how much wood you load and how far you open the air. At a gentle setting it gives around 11kW. Fully loaded with the air open it can reach about 18kW for fast heat.
What log length fits the Nero Lux?
Logs up to 35 centimetres long fit the firebox. Dry, seasoned hardwood cut to that length gives the best heat and keeps the glass cleaner.
