Description
Flames you can see from almost anywhere in the room are the reason to choose the Hydrofire Modena Vision. Of the two Modena models, the Modena Vision fireplace is the one with side glass. It is a steel wood fireplace with glass panels on the front and both sides, giving a 180 degree view of the fire. That makes it ideal for a fireplace that stands out in an open-plan room rather than tucked against a wall.
Hydrofire Modena Vision Side Glass Features
How it differs from the standard Modena
The Hydrofire Modena has a single front window. The Modena Vision keeps the same body, 11 to 18kW output, 80% efficiency and 45.3 x 56.3 x 86 cm size, but adds side glass. You pay a little more for the extra glass, and in return the fire becomes a feature you see from the dining table, the kitchen and the couch.
A three sided glass fireplace with clean glass
More glass only works if it stays clear. An air wash system draws air down the inside of the glass, and three-stage combustion burns the wood more fully so less soot forms. Burn dry wood and the view stays bright.
Built for steady heat
The four millimetre steel body heats up quickly. The vermiculite-lined firebox holds heat in the fire and takes logs of about 30 centimetres. A cast iron grate, removable ash pan, two Teflon-sealed air controls and a long chrome handle round it off. It weighs 98 kg.
Is the Modena Vision right for your home?
Hydrofire rates it for about 106 to 136 m2, which suits a large lounge or an open-plan living area. A side glass fireplace looks its best where people can walk or sit around it, so plan for a hearth that can be seen from the sides. Compare it with other freestanding fireplaces if the space is smaller.

Modena Vision FAQs
Is the Hydrofire Modena Vision worth the extra over the Modena?
If the fireplace will be seen from the side, yes. The heat output is the same, but the side glass turns the fire into a centrepiece. Against a wall, the standard Modena gives the same warmth for less.
Where is the Modena Vision made, and what warranty does it have?
It is imported from Bulgaria and is CE certified. Hydrofire covers it with a 2 year limited warranty, and our team helps with any claims.
