Weighing in at 175 kg, the Hydrofire Gaia is about as solid as a home fireplace gets. This 14kW fireplace has a cast iron door, body and thick top, so it soaks up heat and gives it back slowly for hours. If you want a fire that keeps the house warm through the night, the Gaia was built for it.

Overnight burn
Airtight door gaskets and hand-adjustable air vents let you close the fire down at bedtime. The wood then smoulders slowly, and there are often still coals in the morning to start the next fire. Heat-resistant rope seals the door.
Clean glass with secondary air
Primary air comes in low through the door vent and feeds the fire from below the grate. Secondary air enters above the door, burns off gases and washes down the glass, helping it stay clear for longer. A cast iron baffle plate and a riddling grate complete the firebox. It runs at 72% efficiency.
Cook and boil on top
The wide, flat top is big enough for a kettle or a pot of stew, useful on a cold evening or when the power is out.
Flexible setup
The legs are removable, and the 150 mm flue can leave from the top or the rear. That gives our team options to fit the Gaia under a low mantel, into a wide opening or connected to an existing chimney. It measures 72 x 49 x 76 cm.
Is the Gaia fireplace right for your home?

What warranty does the Hydrofire Gaia have?
Hydrofire offers a five-year limited warranty on the Gaia. It is made in China to a European design and carries CE certification.
Will the Gaia burn through the night?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. Load it with dry hardwood, close the air vents down and the airtight door keeps a slow burn going for hours.
