Description

Some fireplaces sit quietly against a wall. The Jetmaster Hex 1000 is made to be noticed. Its six-sided mild steel body and heavy-duty build turn the fire into the main feature of the room, and the large fire basket lets you build a generous fire of wood or charcoal on a cold night.

Jetmaster Hex 1000 Fireplace Features

A shape that stands out

A hexagon fireplace has no flat back to hide, so it works well in the middle of an open-plan space or in a corner where people gather. The Hex 1000 is a classic design that still feels current in a modern home, a bushveld-style lodge or an office reception.

Big fire basket, big warmth

The large fire basket holds a deep bed of coals and logs, which gives strong radiant heat and a lively fire to sit around. As a wood or charcoal fireplace, it lets you burn wood for the flames and the crackle, or charcoal for a long, steady glow.

Heavy-duty mild steel

The body is made from mild steel and measures 86.3 x 99.8 x 131.7 cm, so it has real presence in a room. The flue is hex-shaped to match, at 255 mm flat to flat and 293 mm corner to corner, which our installers allow for when they plan the roof penetration.

Is the Hex 1000 right for your home?

As a Jetmaster fireplace it is built for open, social heat, but Jetmaster does not give us a kW or heating area figure for this model, so we size it on site. As a rule, the Hex 1000 is best in a large lounge, a double-volume room or an entertainment area where its size feels right. Send us your room size and a few photos and we will advise. You can also compare our freestanding fireplaces or the full fireplaces range.

Installation in Cape Town

Because of its size and shaped flue, the Hex 1000 needs a careful install. Our team handles the hearth, the flue run, the cowl and the roof flashing for Cape wind and rain, and issues the compliance certificate. Learn more about our fireplace installation in Cape Town or the full Jetmaster range.

Jetmaster Hex 1000 FAQs

Can the Hex 1000 burn charcoal as well as wood?

Yes. It is made for wood or charcoal. Many owners light wood for the look of the flames, then add charcoal for a longer, more even heat later in the evening.

Where should a hexagon fireplace stand?

It looks best where it can be seen from more than one side, such as the centre of an open-plan room or a wide corner. We check clearances to walls and furniture before we confirm a spot.

Is a round flue used on the Hex 1000?

No, the flue is hexagonal to match the body. We source and fit the correct sections so the finish looks neat from floor to ceiling.
