Clean glass, cleaner burn
An airwash system sends a stream of air down the inside of the glass, which keeps soot from building up. Above the fire, a tertiary air supply feeds hot air into the top of the firebox so leftover smoke and gases burn off. You get more heat from the same wood and less smoke from the cowl.
Ready for external air
The Sherwood 8 can take its combustion air from outside through an external air kit. That is handy in a modern, well sealed home or a room with an extractor fan. If you do not need it, the stove works perfectly well as a standard model.
Compact and flexible
It measures 38 x 49 x 60 cm and weighs about 95 kg, so it sits comfortably on a normal hearth or inside an old chimney opening. The 150 mm flue can leave from the top or the rear, which gives our installers options in awkward rooms.

Is the Henley 8kW stove efficient?
Yes. It is rated at 78.30% efficiency, so most of the heat from your wood stays in the room. Burning dry, seasoned wood helps you get the most from it and keeps the glass clear.
Do I need the external air option?
Most homes do not. It helps in airtight houses or rooms with an extractor fan, where the stove might struggle for air. Our team checks this on the site visit and advises.
