Description
The Earthfire Earthtone small is a ceramic fireplace for people who want soft, steady heat and a fire that looks like a piece of art. Its translucent tan-brown glaze shows hints of sunrise and sunset on desert dunes, and it looks striking on a dark tiled floor. Each pot is handmade in South Africa, so no two are exactly alike.
Earthfire Earthtone Ceramic Fireplace Features
Heat that lingers
Ceramic soaks up heat and gives it back slowly. The Earthtone keeps radiating warmth for up to two hours after the fire has gone out, which is ideal for lounges and bedrooms that need comfortable background heat.
Clay made for fire
Earthfire uses a specially formulated clay that will not crack from uneven heating, and it will not rust, smoke or smell. It also handles thermal shock, so a hot fire on a cold night is no problem.
Easy on wood
It uses about 3 to 4 logs every 45 to 60 minutes. Dry, seasoned wood burns to a very fine ash, and you only need to clear it every 2 to 3 weeks.
Compact size
The small model measures 45 x 45 x 61 cm and weighs 50 kg, with a 125mm flue. It comes with a sealing kit. The stand is sold separately, and you can pre-order African Mask or Japanese Medallion decoration in bronze.
Is the Earthtone right for your home?
This clay fireplace suits smaller lounges, studies and bedrooms where you want gentle, lasting warmth rather than a blast of heat. Our guide on how to choose a small fireplace explains sizing, and you can compare more models in our ceramic fireplaces range. Many buyers also know these as ceramic fire pots.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the Earthtone with the right floor plate, 125mm flue, cowl and flashing for Cape wind and winter rain, and we look after compliance. Read about our fireplace installation in Cape Town or browse the full Earthfire range.
Earthfire Earthtone FAQs
Does the Earthfire Earthtone come with a warranty?
Yes. Each pot is numbered and carries a 10-year limited warranty from Earthfire. Small birthmarks and colour differences come from the handmade glazing process and add to its character.
Is an Earthfire ceramic fireplace safe indoors?
Yes, when it is installed with a proper flue and a heat-safe floor plate. We fit it to the regulations, check clearances and make sure the flue draws well before you light the first fire.
