Space is tight in many lounges, which is where the Charnwood C Eight (often called the Charnwood C8) earns its place. It is the largest stove in the Charnwood C range, but its tall, slender portrait shape keeps the footprint small while still giving a good, deep view of the fire.

Tall shape for narrow spaces
At 40 × 50 × 71 cm, the C8 fits alcoves, narrow chimney breasts and corners where a wide stove would crowd the room. It works as a freestanding indoor fireplace on a hearth plate, or inside a traditional fireplace opening to replace an open fire.
Cast iron and steel build
The body combines cast iron and steel and weighs 137 kg, so it holds warmth well and feels solid. It is built to give many winters of reliable use.
Clean, efficient wood burning
Charnwood lists the C Eight at 78% efficiency with an A+ energy class. It is Eco-Design 2022 ready and carries ClearSkies 5 accreditation, which means it burns far cleaner than an old fireplace. Less smoke out the top means less soot on your glass and in your flue.
Colours and flue options
The C8 comes in black and a range of enamel-style colours such as almond, blue, green and pewter. It takes a 150 mm flue from the top or the rear, which helps when the chimney is in an awkward spot.
Is the C Eight right for your home?

Can the Charnwood C Eight go into my existing fireplace?
Yes, as long as the opening is big enough and has safe clearances. We usually line the chimney with a 150 mm flue and seal the top so the stove draws well.
What makes the C8 different from smaller C range stoves?
It is the largest model, with a taller firebox and more output, so it suits bigger rooms. The smaller models keep the same look for compact spaces.
