The Charnwood Aire 5 was Charnwood’s first stove made only for wood, and it shows how far a small stove can go. It packs a big glass window into a compact body, burns very cleanly and is one of the easiest wood burners to control. This version comes with the store stand, which lifts the stove and gives you a handy space below for logs.

Simple, precise control
A patented air intake system runs from one easy lever. Open it to light the fire, close it down for a slow, steady burn. The steel and cast iron build reacts quickly when you adjust it, so the room does not swing from too cold to too hot.
Clean glass and cool controls
An air-wash system keeps the large window clear. The door handle and air control stay cool to the touch, so you can tend the fire without a glove.
Easy ash handling
Most wood-only stoves make you scoop ash from the firebed. The Aire has a double skin ashpan, so you build the fire straight on the pan and lift the ash out when it is cold.
Clean burning
The Aire is Eco-Design 2022 ready and among the cleanest burning stoves available, with 84% efficiency. Less smoke out of the cowl, more heat in the lounge.
Charnwood Aire 5 dimensions and fitting
With the stand it measures 47 x 42.4 x 75.5 cm and weighs 132 kg. The 150 mm flue leaves from the top or rear, and an outside air kit is available for well sealed homes. Charnwood also offers 8 colours at extra cost and lead time.
Is the Aire 5 right for your home?

Can the Aire 5 burn coal?
No. It is a wood-only stove, not a multi-fuel model. Burn dry, seasoned hardwood for the best heat and the cleanest glass.
What does the store stand add?
The store stand raises the stove to a comfortable viewing height and gives you a dry space underneath for a few logs. A low stand version is also made if you prefer the stove closer to the floor.
