Description
The Carbel I-70 D/S with fan V-board is made for homes that want a big, see-through fire and the heat to back it up. It is a double sided built-in fireplace with glass on both faces and a ventilation system on each side, driven by four fans, so warm air is pushed into both rooms rather than left to rise.

Fans on both sides
The V-board ventilation system moves heat out of the fireplace body and into the living space on each side. That gives faster warm-up and a more even spread of heat across a large open-plan area.
Slow combustion for long burns
As a slow combustion fireplace, the I-70 lets you control the air so the wood burns slowly and steadily. Carbel adds its Kronos technology and a front air outlet adjustment system for fine control, and an exterior air intake is available as an option.
Large, powerful firebox
Output is 16KW, with a 200 mm flue from the top. The unit measures 77 x 59 x 53 cm and weighs about 115 kg, built from mild steel in an anthracite grey finish.

Does the carbel i70 need electricity?
The fire itself burns without power, but the four fans need a power supply to push heat into the rooms. We plan a plug point or wiring into the surround during the build.
What does D/S mean?
D/S means double sided. The I-70 D/S has glass on both faces, so you see the flames from two rooms, and its fans heat both sides.
