A three sided fireplace
The side glass lets the fire define two areas at once, for example a lounge and a dining space. It is a modern alternative to a full double sided unit, and it brings more light from the flames into the room.
Efficient heat
With 13kW of output and an efficiency of 75%, the A-85 turns a good share of each log into useful heat. It suits homes that want the fireplace to be a real heat source through winter, not just decoration.
Compact build
The mild steel firebox measures 83.5 x 55 x 43.5 cm and weighs around 125 kg. It has a 150 mm top flue outlet and an anthracite grey finish that blends into dark or light cladding.

Why choose glass on three sides?
The triple glazed version has glass on the front and both sides. You see the fire from more of the room, and it can visually link two spaces without building a full double sided wall.
Is a side glass fireplace harder to install?
It takes more planning, because the side panels must stay visible and the cladding has to keep safe clearances. Our team designs that as part of the job.
Can the A-85 be the main heat source?
Yes. At 13kW and rated for about 125 m², it can heat a large living area on its own in most Cape Town homes.
