Double glazing for heat and comfort
The door uses two layers of glass. The inner pane faces the fire, the outer pane stays cooler, and more of the heat stays in the firebox where it burns the wood fully. The result is a cleaner burn and a safer surface when kids or pets are around.
Termatek version
This is the Termatek version of the A-100 in an anthracite grey finish. Ask our team to walk you through the Termatek option alongside the standard A-100 so you can choose the one that suits your build.
Strong output, sensible fuel use
At 15kW and 75% efficiency, the A-100 turns more of each log into room heat. Carbel rates it to heat about 144 m², which covers most large lounges and open-plan living and dining areas.
Built-in sizing
The unit measures 83.5 x 55 x 43.5 cm, is made from mild steel and weighs about 200 kg. It vents through a 200 mm top flue outlet, so the recess and flue route need careful planning.
Is the Carbel A-100 right for your home?

What does double glazing do on a fireplace?
The second pane of glass keeps the outer surface cooler and holds more heat inside the firebox. That helps the wood burn more completely and makes the front of the fire safer to be near.
