This listing is the version without a stand, so the stove sits lower on its hearth. A wide window you will actually look at
The ceramic glass has a black trim and runs across the front of the firebox, so you get a broad view of the flames from the couch. An airwash system sends a curtain of air down the inside of the glass, which slows soot build-up and means less scrubbing on a Sunday morning.
Clean burn and secondary combustion
Canature uses clean burn technology with secondary combustion, so gases that would normally go up the flue are burnt inside the box. You get more heat from each log and less smoke out of the cowl. Our spec sheet lists the efficiency at 78%, which is a big step up from an open hearth.
Takes long logs
The firebox is lined with vermiculite firebrick and topped with a steel baffle, and Canature says it takes logs of around 60 centimetres. Longer logs mean less cutting and fewer trips to the wood pile on a cold evening.
Size and flue
The steel body measures 46.7 x 102 x 55.2 cm and connects to a 150 mm flue from the top. Convection heating moves warm air around the room, so the heat does not stay trapped next to the stove.
