Complete outdoor braai areas and outdoor kitchens, designed and built across Cape Town. One team handles the braai, the brickwork, the counters and the finishes, from the first sketch to the first fire.

Send us photos of the space, the roofline and a rough idea of what you want. We help with the layout, the braai and the finishes, then come back with a written quote.
Most braai areas need three trades. One supplies the braai, one builds the walls and counters, and one tiles, paints and finishes. Our team does all of it. The braai, the flue, the brickwork and the finishes are planned together, so the braai draws properly and the space works the way you will actually use it.
In Cape Town, the south-easter decides where a braai should go. Before anything is built we look at where the wind comes from, where the smoke will blow, and how far the braai sits from the kitchen and the table.
For a new braai unit in an existing space, see our braai installation services. For layout ideas, read our braai area ideas for small backyards.

Every braai area is different, so we quote the exact price before any work starts. These are the things that change it.
Size and layout. A braai with one counter is a smaller job than a full outdoor kitchen with storage and a pizza oven.
The braai itself. Wood, charcoal, gas or a combination, and the size of the unit.
The finishes. Face brick, plaster and paint, stone cladding or tiles.
Cover. An open patio, a covered area or a fully enclosed braai room.
Gas. A fixed gas braai needs a gas line and a Certificate of Compliance, which our registered installers handle.
Get my free quote1. Photos and ideas. Send photos of the space and the roofline, plus any pictures of braai areas you like.
2. Site visit and layout. We measure, check the wind, the wall structure and the flue route, and suggest a layout.
3. Written quote. You get one quote for the braai, the building work and the finishes.
4. Build. Foundations, brickwork, counters and the flue go in first.
5. Fit and finish. The braai unit, worktops, cladding, tiles and paint are done by the same team.
6. Test and handover. We test the fire, check the draw, sign off any gas work with a CoC and leave the site clean.

Covered patio braai. A built-in braai under the patio roof, with a flue that clears the roofline and a counter beside it.
Outdoor kitchen. A braai, prep counters and storage in one run, with gas, wood or both.
Braai with a pizza oven. A wood-fired oven built in next to the braai for bigger gatherings.
Boma and fire pit. A sunken or raised fire pit with built-in seating for the evenings after the braai.
Indoor braai room. An enclosed braai room for the windy months. See our braai room ideas.
Both. We help with the layout, the choice of braai and the finishes, then build it. If you already have plans from an architect or designer, we build to those.
A built-in braai with brickwork and finishing usually takes two to three days, plus curing time before the first fire. A full outdoor kitchen with counters, cladding or a pizza oven takes longer. We give you a timeline with your quote.
Out of the south-easter, close enough to the kitchen to carry food easily, and where the smoke will not blow into the house or over the neighbours. We check the wind direction and the roofline before we suggest a spot.
Yes. We are registered gas installers, so a fixed gas braai or a gas connection to your outdoor kitchen is installed and signed off with a Certificate of Compliance.
Often, yes. Where a flue cannot go through a shared roof, a gas braai is usually the answer. We help with the information your body corporate needs before work starts.
