The SAFire Three One Six Insert BBQ is the grill SAFire uses in its own Pyro braais, sold on its own so you can fit it into a casing or counter of your choice. It gives you quick, controllable gas cooking in a stainless steel unit that looks built for the space.

Four widths for different openings
The insert comes in 590 mm, 770 mm, 970 mm and 1170 mm widths. Every size shares the same 51.7 cm depth and 51 cm height on SAFire’s spec sheet, so only the width changes. That makes it simple to plan your cabinet or brick opening around the size you want.
Cook your way
SAFire offers different flame variations and grid styles, so you can set the grill up for steaks, vegetables or delicate fish. A slide-in door keeps the front neat and gives you room to work.
Optional extras
- A rotisserie for slow roasting
- An extractor canopy and fan for covered or enclosed patios
- A cart model, on special order only, if you want it freestanding
Stainless steel build
The grill is stainless steel, which handles outdoor conditions and is easy to clean. The spec sheet lists a weight of 65 kg, so plan a solid base. Ask us to confirm the figure for your chosen width.

Installation in Cape Town

Can the SAFire Three One Six insert go into my existing braai?
Often, yes, if the opening is wide and deep enough and the surround is safe for gas. Send us measurements and photos of your current braai and we will tell you which width fits and what changes are needed.
Do I need an extractor with a gas insert?
On an open patio, usually not. On a covered or enclosed patio, an extractor canopy and fan help clear heat and smoke. SAFire offers it as an optional extra, and we can install it with the grill.
