Description
If you want the speed of gas without a loose trolley grill on the stoep, the SAFire Pyro Built-in Gas Braai is a neat answer. It is a stainless steel casing that builds into a wall or counter, with the ThreeOneSix gas grill set inside it, so you get a permanent, tidy braai that lights in seconds and is ready when the guests arrive.
SAFire Pyro Built-in Gas Braai Features
Four widths to choose from
The Pyro gas casing comes in 820 mm, 1020 mm, 1220 mm and 1420 mm options. SAFire lists the overall casing at 80 x 89 x 92 cm (d x w x h) for the 820 and 143 x 150 x 152 cm for the 1420, with the 1020 and 1220 in between. Measure the opening you have, or the wall you plan to build, and we will help you match the size before ordering.
The ThreeOneSix gas grill inside
Every Pyro gas unit uses the SAFire ThreeOneSix gas grill as its cooking heart. You get even gas heat across the grid, simple control from the knobs and none of the waiting for coals.
Stainless steel with an easy slide-in door
The body is stainless steel, which stands up well to outdoor use and wipes clean after a braai. A slide-in door keeps the front tidy and out of your way while you cook.
Natural draught as standard, forced draught for a dome
The standard Pyro gas braai is a natural draught unit, which means smoke rises and leaves through a normal chimney. If you want to add a cooking dome, SAFire says the unit must use the forced draught extractor fan system to pull smoke and heat out properly. Tell us your plans early so we can spec the right setup.
Is the Pyro gas braai right for your home?
The 820 suits a couple or small family on a covered patio. The 1220 and 1420 give you room to cook for a full table of friends. Because it is built in, it works best where you have a solid wall or counter and a clear path for smoke. Covered patios in windy suburbs may need extraction, which we can plan with you. Installation in Cape Town
A gas braai must be connected by a certified gas installer. Our team handles the build-in, gas line and compliance through our gas installation and CoC service, and we plan the chimney or extractor for Cape wind and winter rain. See the rest of the SAFire range we supply.
Pyro Gas Braai FAQs
Can I add a dome to the Pyro gas braai?
Yes, but SAFire specifies the forced draught extractor fan system when a cooking dome is fitted. The fan pulls the extra heat and smoke away from the dome. Let us know before we quote so the extractor and ducting are included in the plan.
Which Pyro gas size should I pick?
Start with the space you have and how many people you usually feed. The 820 and 1020 suit most family patios. The 1220 and 1420 make sense for a large entertainment area or regular big gatherings. Send us a photo and rough measurements and we will advise.
Do I need a gas CoC for a built-in braai?
Yes. A fixed gas braai must be installed by a registered gas installer, who issues a Certificate of Compliance. Our team can do the full job, from fitting the casing to connecting the gas and signing it off.
