Description
The SAFire Modi gives you a complete wood or charcoal braai that mounts straight onto a wall, so you get a proper fire and grill without building a brick braai from scratch. It is made in South Africa from 304-grade stainless steel and suits a covered patio, a stoep or an entertainment room with a flue.

Grill system made for real braais
A cantilevered, split stainless steel grill system holds two 40 x 30 cm grids, so you can cook chops on one side and keep boerewors warm on the other. A built-in ember maker keeps fresh coals coming, and the potjie hook lets you hang a pot over the fire for a slow stew.
A door that earns its place
The smart door folds down to become an extra work surface, which is handy for tongs, plates and marinade when counter space is tight. A light fitting is included for evening braais.
Three ways to install
Fix it to the wall with the supplied brackets, place it on a level slab or countertop as a freestanding braai, or set it on the optional Modi Log Box Stand, which adds wood storage and more counter space. If you want a wall braai stand, the log box is the neat way to get one.
Extras for more cooking
Optional extras include a cooking set with a pizza dome, steak pan and skewers, plus an electric spit braai rotisserie set. SAFire can also special order the Modi as a wood and gas combination or a full gas model.
Is the SAFire Modi right for your space?
The unit measures 50 x 110 x 129.5 cm, so it fits most covered patios without taking over the area. Two grids suit a family braai or a small group of friends. SAFire Modi FAQs
Do I need a stand for the Modi braai?
No. It is designed to hang on a wall with the brackets that come with it. A stand is only needed if you want it freestanding, or you can add the optional log box stand for wood storage and extra workspace.
Is there a warranty on the SAFire Modi?
Yes. SAFire covers the outer body and seam joints with a 5-year limited structural warranty against warping, buckling and splitting. Rust is excluded, so we recommend wiping it down after use, especially near the coast.
Can the Modi run on gas?
The standard model burns wood or charcoal. SAFire can special order it as a wood and gas combination or a gas-only braai. Ask us early, as special orders take longer to make.
