Description
If you host big family lunches or year-end parties, a small grill quickly becomes the bottleneck. The Northern Flame 6 burner gas braai insert stretches to 1370 mm, giving you a long grid that can handle meat, vegetables and rolls at the same time. Slot it into a wide built-in braai or set it on a solid counter as a tabletop unit. Either way you end up with a built-in gas braai that lights in seconds and feeds a party without fuss.
Northern Flame 6 Burner Gas Braai Insert Features
Six burners, many heat zones
Six Arrow U-burners, each rated at 30 000 BTU, run the full length of the grid. Because every burner has its own control, you can sear on one end, keep food warm in the middle and grill vegetables gently on the other.
Push-button lighting
Dual spark brass ignition fires each burner quickly, so you can go from cold to cooking in a few minutes.
Less mess after the party
The reversible stainless grid, fat trap and full-width slide-out drip tray make clean-up simple, even after a long afternoon of cooking.
Stainless steel build
The housing is made from 304 and 430 stainless steel with a black powder coated front, and the burners are 304 grade. Our listing gives the size as 137 x 49.5 x 24 cm with a weight of about 94 kg, so plan for two or more people when it goes into place.
Is the Northern Flame 1370mm right for your space?
This is a large gas braai insert for big households, guest houses and entertainers who often cook for twelve or more. It needs a long braai opening or counter, so measure first. For smaller groups, the 3, 4 and 5 burner Northern Flame models may suit better. Compare them on our gas braais page.
Installation in Cape Town
The LPG bottle and gas connections are sold separately. Our team supplies the right regulator and hose, places the bottle outside and signs off the job with a Certificate of Compliance. Learn more about our gas installation and CoC work.
Northern Flame 1370mm FAQs
Will the 1370mm insert fit my braai?
It needs an opening wide and deep enough for a 1370 mm unit. Send us the inside width, depth and height of your braai and we will confirm the fit, or suggest a smaller model.
Do I need to run all six burners at once?
No. Light only the burners you need for a small meal and save gas. Use all six when the whole family arrives.
Where is it made?
Northern Flame builds its inserts in South Africa and covers the burners with a one-year limited warranty.
