Description
The Northern Flame 1200 gives you the best of both worlds: the flavour of a wood fire and the speed of gas, in one built in stainless steel braai. The 200mm gas insert is a real gas braai, not a sizzler, so you can feed hungry kids or late guests while the main fire burns down to coals. It is also handy when the power goes off and the stove will not work.

Gas insert with real power
A 30 000 BTU U-shaped burner gives quick, even heat and fine control. Ignition is a dual spark brass system, so it lights first time. A reversible stainless grid, a fat trap and a slide-out drip tray make cleaning simple.
Stainless steel built to last
Northern Flame uses 304 stainless steel for the frame, the door, the ash pan and the pull-out ash drawer. The firebox, ash pan and coal maker are 430 stainless steel, finished in matt black heat resistant paint.
Easy wood braai
A coal maker keeps fresh coals coming. The galvanised grid sets at 4 heights, and the large door slides under the braai to become a work surface. A light is fitted for evening cooking.
Made to fit existing chimneys
The braai is supplied without a hood, so it slots into a prebuilt chimney breast. That makes swapping out an old braai much easier. A detachable Gather hood and a stainless door set and frame are optional extras.

What warranty does the 1200 combo have?
Northern Flame gives the braai a limited warranty of 2 years. The gas insert burner carries its own limited warranty of 1 year.
Is a built in stainless steel braai good near the sea?
Stainless steel copes far better with salt air than mild steel. Wipe it down after use and keep it covered, and it will look good for years.
