The Arke range has a strong name in South Africa as good-value inserts, and the Kratki Arke 80 Tunnel takes that design and opens it up on both sides. Built into a wall between two spaces, it gives each room a view of the flames and a share of the heat. At 16kW, it has the output for a big home.

A tunnel fire for two rooms
The tunnel design means glass on the front and the back. Place it between a lounge and dining room, or between living and entertainment areas, and one fire links the two.
Less building work
The Arke Tunnel comes standard with a convection box and finishing frames. That cuts down on custom building, gives a neat edge where the unit meets the cladding, and helps move warm air out into the rooms.
Heavy steel, clean burn
The thick steel body weighs 136 kg and measures 85 x 45.2 x 61.4 cm. It is a closed-combustion fireplace, and it has a top outlet for a 200 mm flue.
Is the Kratki Arke 80 Tunnel right for your home?

Installation in Cape Town

What is a tunnel fireplace?
It is a fireplace with glass on two opposite sides, built into a wall so both rooms see the fire. A double-sided fireplace like this is also called a see-through fireplace.
Which side do I load the Arke Tunnel from?
We plan the loading side with you during the design, usually the room where you spend most evenings. It makes sense to keep wood storage on that side too.
