The Home Fires KampBraai is built for people who like to braai in more than one place. At home it stands on the stoep or balcony as a neat freestanding braai, and when the long weekend comes the legs fold away so it travels with you to the farm, the river or the campsite. It burns wood or charcoal, so you can make a proper fire wherever you are.

Folds down, packs up
The steel braai box sits on collapsible legs, and the front panel folds down while the side panels fold out. Those panels become your prep space for meat, salads and a cold drink, then close up again when the coals are out. The whole unit weighs 49 kg and measures 32.5 x 163.5 x 78.5 cm, so two people can lift it into a vehicle without fuss.
A coal maker that keeps the fire going
A heavy duty coal maker lets you keep feeding wood while the cooking coals drop below. You do not have to wait for one fire to die before the next batch of meat goes on, and a fire stoker tool comes with it to move the coals around.
Three grid heights and a steak grid
The flat steak grid slots in at three levels. Drop it low for a quick sear on chops, lift it high for chicken or boerewors that needs a slower heat.
Upgrades when you want them
Ask us about the optional rotating grid basket, spit arm and spike set, spit motor and an extra grid. The KampBraai can also be made on special order in black utility stainless (3CR12) or 304 stainless steel if you want a finish that handles coastal air better.
Is the KampBraai right for your home?
It suits a family or a group of friends of around six to ten people, cooked in batches. Use it in an open, ventilated area such as a patio, balcony or garden, and keep it out of a strong wind so the smoke does not blow into the house. Can the Home Fires KampBraai be used on a balcony?
Yes, as long as the balcony is open and well ventilated and the floor can take the heat. We suggest a fire-safe mat under it and enough space around it so smoke clears quickly.
Is there a warranty on the Homefires KampBraai?
Home Fires gives it a 6 months limited warranty. It is a proudly South African unit, made locally, so spares and accessories are easy to get through our team.
