A built-in countertop gas grill
The hob grill drops into a cut-out in your counter, so it lines up with your prep space. It suits both indoor and outdoor kitchens, which makes it a good fit for braai rooms and covered patios.
Options to choose from
- Burners: 3, 4 or 6. A 3 burner suits a couple or small family. Go 4 or 6 when you cook for more people.
- Material: stainless steel, 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel, depending on the size. The 316 grade is the marine choice for homes near the coast.
Chad-O-Chef lists the 3 burner at 77.5 x 45 x 22 cm and the 4 burner at 95 x 45 x 22 cm. Ask us for the 6 burner size before you plan your counter.

Planning the cabinet
The counter and cabinet around the grill must be lined with fire-retardant material, such as a ceramic blanket or vermiculite. The cabinet also needs ventilation holes for air to reach the burners, and a hinged door so you can reach the drip tray. We take care of these details when we install.
Is the hob grill right for your home?

Can the hob grill go indoors?
Yes, Chad-O-Chef lists it as suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Indoors you need good ventilation, and in an enclosed room we recommend adding the extraction system.
What does my cabinet need?
A fire-retardant lining, ventilation holes for the burners and a hinged door for the drip tray. We can build or adapt the cabinet when we install the grill.
