Fireplaces Johannesburg & Gauteng
Johannesburg is our biggest delivery destination outside the Western Cape. Highveld winters are cold enough to justify a serious heater, and most orders heading north are 8–14kW closed-combustion stoves for freestanding homes in the older suburbs, plus built-in braais for covered patios. Delivery to Johannesburg and Pretoria typically takes 2–4 working days on an insured courier. We’re not a Joburg installer and won’t pretend to be — but the city has no shortage of competent fireplace and gas installers, and every unit we send arrives with the manual, clearance drawings and flue specs yours will need. Most Gauteng installs go in without a single phone call; when there is one, we answer it.
Fireplaces Durban & KwaZulu-Natal
Durban buyers split two ways: gas fireplaces and braais for the humid coast, and wood stoves for the genuinely cold Midlands and Drakensberg towns — Hilton, Howick, Underberg and the farms between them. Coastal orders get the same salt-air finish advice we give our Cape coastal customers. Delivery to Durban and Pietermaritzburg runs 3–5 working days; outlying KZN towns add a day or two on the courier’s local leg.
Fireplaces Gqeberha & the Eastern Cape
Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and East London sit conveniently on the main freight routes, so despite the distance, delivery still lands in 3–5 working days. Eastern Cape orders lean toward mid-size wood stoves — the wind-chill in winter is no joke — and we regularly ship to Makhanda, Graaff-Reinet and Karoo farms where the courier hands over to a local carrier for the last stretch. Tell us upfront if you’re rural; we’ll confirm the final-leg arrangement before you pay.
Fireplaces Bloemfontein & the Free State
The Free State gets the coldest sustained winters in the country, and Bloemfontein orders are almost exclusively wood-burning: large fireboxes, long burn times, proper heat output. Delivery takes 3–5 working days to Bloemfontein and the larger towns. Free State buyers often install themselves or use a local builder — our manuals and phone support are built for exactly that.
How Ordering & Delivery Works
- Choose & confirm. Order directly from the online shop, or send us the room dimensions and a photo first — we’ll confirm the unit suits the space before you spend a cent. Honest sizing advice is free.
- Payment & crating. Once paid, your fireplace or braai is inspected, crated and strapped in our Cape Town warehouse. Fragile components — glass, ceramic liners, cast panels — are packed separately inside the crate.
- Insured courier dispatch. Every shipment travels fully insured. Typical lead times: Johannesburg & Pretoria 2–4 working days, Durban 3–5, Gqeberha & East London 3–5, Bloemfontein 3–5. You get the tracking number the day it leaves.
- Delivery to your door. The courier delivers to your address — home, site or builder’s yard. Check the crate on arrival; insured claims for transit damage are handled by us, not pushed onto you.
- Installation support. Every unit ships with the manufacturer’s installation manual plus our SANS clearance and flue notes. Your local installer or builder can phone or WhatsApp our workshop during the job at no charge.
One thing we don’t do: install outside the Western Cape. Our teams work Cape Town daily and the Garden Route by arrangement — beyond that, we’d rather help your local installer do it properly than sell you a service we can’t deliver well.

Courier cost depends on the unit’s weight and your suburb, so we quote it exactly before you pay — no surprise “shipping calculated later” emails. Unit prices are the same online-shop prices Cape Town customers pay. Installation labour in your city is between you and your installer, but as a sanity check, competent installation of a freestanding unit shouldn’t cost radically more than the R3,500–R4,800 Cape Town norm plus reasonable regional differences.
