Strong, responsive heat
The insert uses a U-shaped Arrow burner rated at 30 000 BTU. The U shape spreads the flame over a wider area, so heat is more even across the grid, and the control responds quickly when you turn it up or down. Ignition is by a dual spark, solid brass igniter, so it lights first time without matches.
Easy to clean after the braai
A heavy duty stainless steel grid can be flipped over, there is a fat trap, and a full width drip tray slides out for washing. Cleaning up takes minutes, which matters after a big gathering.
Built to handle the outdoors
The body is made from 304 and 430 grade stainless steel with a black powder coated front, and the burner itself is 304 grade stainless. It weighs 6 kg and measures 47.5 x 24 x 20.5 cm, so check the space in your braai before you order. Northern Flame makes these inserts in South Africa.

You will need to supply the LPG bottle, and the gas connections and gas fitting are sold separately. Think of it as a built in braai gas burner that still needs a proper hook-up. Will the 200mm gas insert fit my braai?
It fits most built-in braais with enough space for a unit of 47.5 x 24 x 20.5 cm. Send us a photo and measurements of your braai opening and our team will confirm the fit before you buy.
Is a gas bottle included?
No. The LPG bottle, regulator connections and installation are separate. We can supply what you need and connect it safely, with a compliance certificate, so the unit is ready to use.
