The XL Slope Roof Flashing is a large EPDM boot that waterproofs the point where your flue exits a sloped roof. It is the part that keeps Cape winter rain out of your ceiling, so it is worth getting the right size.
XL Slope Roof Flashing Features
EPDM is a tough synthetic rubber. It does not crack or break down in strong sun, it flexes to follow the shape of tiles or metal sheeting, and it seals tightly around the flue. Our EPDM flashing is tested to 135°C for short periods and 100°C for long periods, which suits the heat near an insulated flue.

Where it fits

Fitting note
Good flue flashing depends on how it is fitted. The cone is cut to the flue size, the base is dressed to the roof profile and sealed under the upper tiles or sheets. Our team does this as part of every flue installation in Cape Town, and our flue kits carry European CE certification.
Is EPDM XL flashing suitable for a single skin flue?
It is designed for insulated flue, where the outer skin stays cooler. A single skin flue runs hotter at the roof, so ask us which flashing suits your setup.
