With its oval body, rounded corners and wide window, the Kratki K8 looks at home in a modern lounge, a loft or a farmhouse with an industrial edge. Underneath the styling it is a serious heater: a cast iron wood fireplace and an 11kW fireplace that holds its warmth long into the night.

Cast iron with real thickness
The stove body is cast iron with walls at least 8 mm thick, and the whole unit weighs 127 kg. All that mass stores heat and releases it slowly, so the room stays comfortable even when the fire burns low.
Clean glass, cool handle
An airwash system sweeps air down the inside of the glass to keep it clearer. The handle can be taken off while the fire burns, so it never gets too hot to touch, and you simply clip it back on to open the door.
Better use of every log
A cast iron deflector lengthens the path the hot gases take before they leave, so more heat goes into the room. You can regulate the air to the firebox for a quick blaze or a slow, even burn, and the firebox takes logs of about 35 centimetres.
Easy upkeep
A removable grate and an ash drawer make cleaning quick, and a small decorative fence at the front stops logs rolling against the glass.
Size and flue
The K8 measures 66.7 x 38.2 x 62.6 cm and connects to a 130 mm flue from the top or the rear.
Is the Kratki K8 right for your home?

Yes. It has a top or rear flue option, which is handy when the stove has to sit in front of an existing chimney opening or close to an outside wall.
